A lot has happened in the past six weeks. The Inn went from essentially an empty shell to now having defined rooms on every floor, two permanent concrete staircases, completed plumbing (minus the fixtures), parking lot and most importantly power. The Spa (scheduled to open in December) is starting to take shape with the framing and walls up and the roof nearing completion. As we move into August, construction workers will be diligently working towards completing the guest room floors as furniture and fixtures are scheduled to be installed in the middle of the month. We are looking forward to having our interior design team onsite to ensure delivery and placement is flawless. With roughly 12 weeks remaining until opening, we are sprinting to the finish line!
While the construction site has been moving along, we have been busy working on all the amenities that our guests will experience while they are with us. We received a delivery today for hair dryers and irons with dozens upon dozens of other items scheduled for delivery over the coming months. The menus for Knoxie’s Table and The Market have been designed with final touches being placed on our banquet menu this week. We are excited to welcome Chef Paul Shiley to the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club team. He is coming to us from our sister property, the Tidewater Inn and will be overseeing the daily culinary operations for Knoxie’s Table, The Market and our private event space.
